Set up Yahoo! Japan Ads Display Ads

Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network is an ad network integrated with Adjust. Our integration lets Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network receive attribution and in-app event data through automated callbacks.

In this article, learn how to set up measurement with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network for your app. This includes activating the integration, creating a campaign link, and choosing what data Adjust can share with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.

Before you begin

Requirements

Select Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network and your app in Campaign Lab

  1. Under Campaign Lab, select Partners.
  2. Select New partner > Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network. Select Next to move to the next screen.
  3. In the App selection screen, choose the app for which you want to create the link, and enable the integration to share data with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.
  4. Select Next.

Enable data sharing

Enable data sharing to activate the integration with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network. To enable data sharing:

  1. Enter the required information.

Once you enable data sharing with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network, Adjust automatically sends Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network the following data, by default:

  • install
  • session (for retargeting only)
  • event (for retargeting only)

Set your data sharing options

If you’re working with a multi-platform app with data sharing enabled for multiple platforms, you can:

  1. Separate data sharing options at the platform-level by selecting Use platform-specific settings.
  2. Set the same data sharing settings for multiple platforms by selecting Use global settings.

Now, under What will be shared by default?, review the activities that Adjust shares with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network by default.

  • install
  • session (for retargeting only)
  • event (for retargeting only)

Send additional data

Choose the amount and type of data that you want to share with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network through callbacks. Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network may use this information to optimize performance.

Sessions

Adjust does not automatically send session callbacks due to the high volume of sessions. Sharing sessions means Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network will receive your app’s session activity.

Map events

Map events that you want to share to the values that Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network can receive. Data for unmapped events is not shared with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.

Under Map events, follow these steps to choose the in-app events you want to directly send to Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.

  1. Select Map event.
  2. In the Adjust event list, choose the Adjust event that you want to share with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.
  3. In the Partner event list, choose or enter a custom event name that you want to map the Adjust event to. You might have to map an event to several values.
  4. Select Apply.

Now Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network will receive in-app event data for each of your linked events.

Configure your link and settings

You have the option to set your:

Create your link and share it with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network

In the Setup review screen, you can review your choices. You can also go back and make changes to:

  • Your selected app
  • Data sharing options
  • Link structure parameters
  • User destinations
  • Attribution settings

Select Create link to create your click URL, impression URL, QR code and link token. Creating a link also enables data sharing and the integration with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network.

Once you’ve created your link, share it with Yahoo! Japan Display Ad Network for placement in campaigns.

Partner-specific setup instructions

Account ID

Account ID is an available field in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads module. After you enter the Account ID, Adjust will share the Account ID and send install conversion data with Yahoo. You can find your Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Account ID in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads platform.

Retargeting ID

Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads Retargeting ID is an available field in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads module. After you enter your Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads Retargeting ID(s), Adjust will share the Retargeting ID(s) and install, session, and event data with Yahoo. You can find your Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Retargeting ID in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads platform described as “custom audience ID (site retargeting ID)”.

Link ID (Required: up to 5 IDs)

Link ID is an available field in the Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads module. After you enter your Link ID, Adjust will share the Link ID and install, session, and event data with Yahoo. For more information about the Link ID, use the Yahoo! Ads documentation.

Label

A custom label.

Page Type

Set this up when using page type as a target list condition.

Item ID

Set this up when using Item ID as a target list condition.

Category ID

Set this up when using Category ID as a target list condition.

Impression measurement

Adjust records an impression when a user views your mobile ad. If you'd like Adjust to attribute installs to impressions, turn on impression-based attribution (via device matching and/or probabilistic modeling) in your Adjust dashboard. You can stop measuring impressions at any time. As of April 2021, Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads supports view-through conversion measurement with Adjust. For more information, see these links:
