With different permission levels, you can define which apps, campaigns, links, and keywords your users can see. Permissions also control which features in Adjust are visible for them.
Admin
Admin users have access to all dashboard tools and account settings. Admins are the only users that can add or delete other users from an Adjust account.
An Admin user can:
Create other user accounts
Set up sensitive settings, such as billing
Editor
Editor users have access to all app settings. Like Admin users, Editors can add, edit, or hide any Adjust links and in-app events. Unlike Admins, Editors cannot create new apps in the dashboard, add new users to an Adjust account, or remove users. Editors may also modify attribution window settings.
An Editor user can:
Make configuration changes on all apps (e.g., in-house marketer, developer, etc.)
Reader
Readers have read-only access to reporting data in your dashboard. They can view the apps on your account, but cannot make any changes to the account.
A Reader user can:
Access all reporting for all apps (e.g., agency managing all campaigns).
Custom Editor
Admins can create Custom Editors at the app level. A Custom Editor can be an Editor for one app but a Reader for another.
A Custom Editor user can:
Make configuration changes on selected apps
Custom Reader
Custom Readers can only view your data for specific apps. They cannot make changes to app settings, links or events.
A Custom Reader user can:
Access reporting for attribution reporting for a specific campaign.
Custom-custom
Link level
These users can have limited dashboard access at the link level, which limits access to only specific Adjust links. Access can be further refined to only certain campaigns containing designated keywords. This level of permission may be used for agencies that are only responsible for running a specific kind of campaign.
A link-level Custom user can:
View attribution reporting for a specific campaign.
Custom-custom
Partner level
These users have limited dashboard access at the partner level. They can only access data for specific partners. This level of permission may be used for agencies that are only responsible for running campaigns with a designated partner.
A partner-level Custom user can:
Access attribution reporting for a specific partner.
Admins can access ad spend data for all apps and can assign access to ad spend and in-app revenue data for Editors, Readers, and Custom users.
Custom users who have ad spend enabled can see only data from the legacy cost aggregation pipeline for the links they have access to. To query partner Ad Spend data from the new ad spend pipeline, Custom users need to be given access to partners. Check out the Cost aggregation deprecation guide to see what's changing.
Only Admin users can create and manage app secrets.
Learn about using app secrets with Adjust's SDK Signature.
Audience Builder
If you've purchased the Audience Builder Growth Solution, both Admins and Editors are able to use all Audience Builder features. This includes creating and editing new audiences, and linking them to third parties (for example, Facebook). Users with custom permissions do not have access to Audience Builder and will not see it in their dashboard.
Admin and Editor users can see all the available historical data. If a user with Custom permissions has access to view a specific link, they can see the historical data available for it as well.
KPI Service
All users will be able to access it. If you have users with Custom permission levels, they will only see the data associated with the permissions you have granted them. For example, if you allow them to view the data for one network, then the KPI Service URL would give data only for that network.
